1962 was the last time it was possible to buy a new MGA 1600 Roadster. But this is the nearest thing you can get today. It looks new inside and out, drives new, even smells new. It is strikingly attractive in Glacier Blue with Ivory Leather Upholstery and Mohair Hood. The pictures speak for themselves, this car looks factory fresh throughout!
The history of this car is as follows:-
Exported new to Nigeria in 1959 and re-imported back to UK in 2005. The car was in a poor state and the new owner commissioned Classic Restorations (Scotland) to restore it to original condition. No constraints where placed on the time or cost and consequently the car was completely rebuilt from the chassis up. All mechanical and electrical parts were fully restored and much of the bodywork renewed. Only the bonnet and bootlid and doors were re-used. A complete new interior was made in their workshops and a new mohair hood. All bright work was re-plated or renewed. The car was finally completed in February 2011 and now showing only 85 miles on the oddometer, therefore the engine will require Running In, same as all with new cars of the period.
It comes with Owners’s Manual, New MOT, Free Historic Tax, History File with documentary evidence of the rebuild.
